Maclaren Grand Tour LX has arrived!

The long awaited and much anticipated Maclaren Grand Tour LX has finally arrived. We are one of the first in the U.S. to receive many of the Grand Tour LX and let me tell you, they are quite a sight. Maclaren really has gone all out with this new all in one package. We had Nicole, an awesome Maclaren brand representative at our store today to show us all the different features and tips and tricks for this new beauty.

We will be making a complete overview video this week showing all the different features and toy packages that this stroller comes with. The box comes with literally everything you need and then some which is literally a “christmas present” feel as you open the box for the first time. The stroller rivals most luxury cars for styling and has top notch comfort on the main seat and infant cot. The folding could not be any easier and it’s quite useful that the seat can be faced towards or away from you as well as provides 3 sitting positions. The Nano Tech fabric is stain resistant and water resistant as well which is on the coverlet, seat, and hood (Wait until you feel this stuff!).

The stroller has a strollometer built in that is wireless that shows you tons of information about your walking speed and distance. On the handlebar also comes a temperature gauge and time clock which are very classic looking. Inside where these are hidden you also have a cell phone holder which is nice for keeping it within arms reach at all times.

I can go on and on about all the things they have done right with this stroller. The rain cover and mosquito cover are always with you and hang right beneath the seat instead of at home or in the car when you need them most! Tons of storage pockets all over and a very generous parcel tray with carrying bag underneath. The stroller also comes with a matching diaper/messenger bag that attaches right onto the stroller and also has a strap to be taken on it’s own. The brakes are very easy to use and require little to no effort to engage. Cup holder can be attached anywhere on the stroller and has sense enough to be able to hold a bottle or your favorite Starbucks mix.

When the stroller folds up it is free standing for easy storage in a closet or garage area. To keep your riding in style, Maclaren also includes a storage cover. This is the first and currently only stroller from Maclaren that has a bumper bar which may we add has a pretty slick looking logo on it. The front wheels are lockable which will give you a true all terrain feel when strolling over cobblestone and other rough pavements. The stroller has a full suspension so your little one can enjoy the ride without being jarred around.

Overall, this stroller is 10 out of 10. The price may be a sticker shock at first, but you have to realize when you add up the accessories that are included you really won’t need anything for the rest of your stroller pushing career. The stroller will accomodate up to 65 pounds so when you think of the length you’ll be using “one” stroller it really ends up being a great buy when you consider it will do the work of 3 different stroller types all in one. The stroller comes with a “LIFETIME WARRANTY” which is just shouting loud and clear that Maclaren really stands behind their products and the quality of their Grand Tour LX. Bumbleride Stroller Reviews - Indie, Flyer, Queen B

Mon, Nov 3, 2008

We picked up the Bumbleride brand into our store this year and have become very well educated with the brand. We’ve answered all the common questions and done tests ourselves to be prepared for those one off questions depending on what you may use it for. All of the Bumbleride strollers have their own great qualities about them and you really can’t just pick a #1 of the 3. If we missed anything or you have any questions please contact us anytime and we’d be glad to help.

The Bumbleride Indie is great for active parents that want a ultra light (20 pounds) stroller that still has air filled tires for comfort and a very fashionable design. The front wheel can be put in the fixed position or in swivel mode very easily with a flip of the front wheel knob. The storage tray underneath works great and we have not had any problems with the drag of the previous models. This stroller folds up easy and comes with everything you need to get started.

One of my favorites from it’s awesome ability to manuver with all wheel drive action is the Bumbleride Flyer Stroller.

It has the traditional look of a standard stroller but has many hidden options that your sure to love. All four wheels can be locked individually as well as a quick switch to making the front or rear wheels swivel style for easier driveability. Like other Bumbleride strollers the Flyer folds up very easily and provides a adjustable handlebar. This stroller is so easy to use, you can become a pro teaching others in a matter of minutes.

The Bumbleride Queen B is the flagship of the Bumbleride line and is one of our favorite Prams on the market. Start off with a newborn from the bassinet like included setup and move on to being able to have two children in the Queen B with the Toddler Seat addition. Being a Pram, this stroller is expected to be a little heavier weighing in at 31 pounds. What makes it nice for a new or veteran mom is that once it’s folded up there are U shaped handles that make it much easier getting this stroller in and out of your vehicle. Tons of storage room underneath and a very easy brake that works simply even in open toe shoes. Adjustable handlebar and the ability for the child to face towards or away from you is such a nice feature when your getting used to what your comfort zone is. Adjustable foot rest and an amazing suspension are just the beginning with this extremely well engineered stroller.
